Top 15 Epic Places to Visit in Turkey

A few hours north of Antalya lies the lovely resort town of Mecidiyekoy, where I took part in a 15-Epic Place to Visit In Turkey adventure. My husband and I had booked a cheap flight to Turkey for my next summer vacation, but before we leave the country we wanted to make sure we’d be able to come back to Turkey and enjoy all of its beauty and charm for years to come. Mecidiyekoy is located on the Sea of Marmara in the province of Lycia, and it’s a great destination for anyone who loves to go paragliding.

Another option would be taking a trip across the sea to the island of Corfu, which is only a short drive away from Mecidiyekoy. Corfu is well-known for its beautiful beaches, and there’s an exciting array of activities and tourist attractions just on the island that make it such an enjoyable destination. Corfu is home to the world famous Hot Air Balloon Ride, as well as plenty of other activities and attractions such as donkey rides, water sports, marinas, and sailing.

Just east of Mecidiyekoy is the beautiful resort town of Cizre, which is home to many exciting activities. The most popular activity to do in Cizre is taking a hot air balloon ride. You can go on this ride all year round, and there are several companies that offer different packages for this. This is also a great way to see some of the sights of the Mediterranean coast, and you’ll be far from civilization when you reach your destination!

The next location to hit our list was Bodrum, a seaside resort town on the Mediterranean coast of southern Turkey. A stay at Bodrum hotel can allow you to experience what it’s like to be on the ocean. If you’re traveling with children, you might want to consider taking a sailing vacation to the Aegean Sea. If you love the sound of the ocean but don’t want to spend too much time sailing along the coast, you can rent a seagoing vessel and take a trip out on the Mediterranean Ocean.

Our third stop on our Mediterranean itinerary was the coastal town of Antalya, another resort town on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. We spent three days touring the ruins of a Roman amphitheater and experiencing the sea life in the vicinity. The best hours of the day were spent paddling down the blue waters of the Aegean Sea. On our last day, we made a kayak trip out to the ruins of an ancient Roman fort. We paddled out into the blackened waters, where the sun rose over the horizon.

One of the most popular activities in the ancient world is paragliding. Paragliding is another option for anyone traveling on a vacation to Turkey or the Aegean region. Although the weather in the Mediterranean can be a little unpredictable, there are a number of locations that offer paragliding holidays, such as Nice, Cannes, and Antalya. If you prefer to glide over the ground instead of gliding over the skies, there is another option: windsurfing.

One of the top destinations in the Mediterranean for windsurfing is Bodrum, a resort town on the northern coast of Turkey. Because of its unique position, it offers some of the best windsurfing conditions on Earth. If you haven’t tried it, you’ll definitely want to make a trip to Bodrum before your next visit to the Mediterranean. If you have a couple of days free, you can also enjoy a walking tour around the historic city of Bodrum, which is located right on the Mediterranean Sea.

Another popular activity associated with Bodrum’s coastal area is parasailing. As one of the most challenging sports in the world, parasailing allows participants to experience what it feels like to “fly.” The beautiful coast of Bodrum and the Aegean Sea offer incredible opportunities for parasailing. parasailing in Bodrum starts near the town center, where there are plenty of companies that offer this sport for a day of enjoyment. Other popular areas for parasailing in Bodrum include Kinaliada, Marmaris, and the Golden Beach.
